Vineyard Tag Sample 1

A closer look at one of our most compact vineyard tags

This tag is featured at Crich Vineyard, currently in development. It represents our smallest available model, measuring 45 mm × 50 mm, designed for vineyards that need clear, durable identification without adding visual clutter to the post or row.

The example shown uses a Maroon red base with metallic gold detailing, chosen for its strong contrast, premium feel, and reliability in outdoor vineyard conditions. This palette remains legible across changing light, weather, and seasons, while still feeling considered and professional.

Colours Used:

Maroon Red
Gold

Design & surface finish

This tag uses our classic surface finish, where all text and numbers are formed flush into the surface of the tag rather than engraved or raised. The result is a clean, subtle texture that resists dirt build-up and remains easy to read over time.

The mock-up shown reflects the exact design supplied by the vineyard, demonstrating how spacing, typography, and layout appear once manufactured.

Each tag can include:

  • Up to four colours per tag

  • Any amount of text

  • Vineyard-specific layouts (row names, vine numbers, blocks, or internal references)

“We looked into metal tags at first, but they weren’t the right fit. The colour and layout options on these have worked much better for us.”
— Crich Vineyard

In-use photography

The images on this page show the tag installed directly in the vineyard environment. The compact size keeps the post visually tidy, while the colour contrast ensures the tag remains readable from a practical working distance.

This balance between clarity and subtlety is central to the design approach behind every tag.

Pricing

The cost of this tag is £2.00 per unit.

This includes:

  • Up to four colours per tag

  • Any amount of text

  • The same materials and surface finish used across the full vineyard tag range

Why this page exists instead of a printed leaflet

Rather than including a printed leaflet in the sample pack, this information lives here.

Printed inserts are usually read once and then thrown away — especially during busy periods like planting or vineyard setup. For a product that’s designed to last years in the vineyard, that didn’t feel like the right fit.

By using a dedicated webpage instead:

  • There’s less paper waste from the start

  • Details can be kept accurate and up to date without reprinting

  • There’s space to show real photos, colour references, and context that wouldn’t fit on a leaflet

  • The sample pack stays simple, practical, and focused on the tags themselves

It’s a small decision, but it follows the same thinking as the tags: make things clear, durable, and useful — without adding anything unnecessary.
